THE AUTHOR

Kate Rabinowitz is a chef, artist, and yoga teacher.
As a chef, she has trained for decades with Michio Kushi at the Kushi Institute in Boston, Dr. Vasant Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute, and Annemarie Colbin at The Natural Gourmet. Kate has also studied many physical healing practices, including shiatsu at the Ohashi Institute, resistance stretching with Bob Cooley at The Genius of Flexibility, and Hatha Yoga with B.K.S. Iyengar and various master teachers over fifty years. She has taught yoga for over forty years in Asia, California, and New York.
Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Kate studied English in college and received formal training in art at Wesleyan University, Massachusetts College of Art, and Art Students League in New York. She did graduate work in Asian Studies at Columbia University, social work at New York University, and creative writing at Stanford University.
Kate has worked in the non-profit sector for forty years and currently runs The Anna Lytton Foundation for Arts and Wellness. She lives on the East End of Long Island. This book is an integration of her life’s journey.
